| developing a set of design Guideline Standards for this 5 lane, principal arterial in Vancouver, Washington was the primary role for simp.L. the process involved nearly 16 months of public involvement with a diverse group of public agencies, transit authorities, neighborhood and business associations, landowners, school districts, the parks bureau, and special interest groups. The result was a highly integrated set of architectural design guidelines for the corridor that dictated treatments and finishes for everything from multi-modal ped facilities, lighting, monument, directional and traffic control signage, sound and screen wall design, landscaping, and much more. |
