| part of the initial planning for this master planned, light industrial, flex office park, located on a 200 plus acre site in Washington County, involved an annexation process to incorporate the property into the City of Beaverton and realign Cornell Road into a landscaped, median separated, 4 lane, principal arterial with new signalized intersections at Walker Road & Stucci. from planning and entitlement to detailed site master planning around a concept including a large central open space with ponds (charged by stormwater) and a large amphitheater, staff at simp.L were involved on all levels. brick details are integrated as detectable warning surfaces at the pedestrian crossings with coordinated signage and wayfinding all designed in a theme that creates an architectural language communicating ‘place’. The park also included nodal outdoor picnicking and seating opportunities, a nature/equestrian trail along portions of Rock Creek, and an intricate system of paved, multi modal walkways for use by tenants and visitors to the park. |
