| program: | planning studies included the building placements and integration of a high traffic vehicular arrival/ drop off point with a high use pedestrian courtyard for employees. The drop off area needed to accommodate deliveries, visitors and staff with an architectural and wayfinding language that reflected a new ‘upscale’ sensibility for the company as well as clear visual ques on points of entry. A massive stormwater feature in the adjoining courtyard collected rainwater from the roof and channeled it through an architecturally designed and detailed scupper into a dramatic sculptural receptacle designed around a large infiltration basin. Specialty pavement and furniture design rounded out the outdoor employee open space. |
