Our name, simp.L, reflects our client service goal – an effortless experience with outstanding results.

Our experience covers a broad range of project types and client sectors from multi-million dollar public works and transportation projects to high fashion, urban planning and design. We are blessed to have a 7-year foundation built entirely on repeat business and referrals. The firm has consistently been recognized for design excellence by numerous industry awards and publications.

After 5 years at a small practice in the Midwest, simp.L owner Jeff Simpson relocated to the Pacific Northwest in 1992 and took a position as Senior Design Studio Manager at Mitchell Nelson Group (later becoming: MNWR/Partnership) a Portland based Landscape Architecture and Land Planning firm. In 1996 Mr. Simpson, as Principal in Charge of Landscape Architecture, joined a team of four colleagues to launch WRG Design, Inc.

In 2002, with over 15 years of experience as a land-based consultant and design professional, Mr. Simpson founded simp.L. In the past 7 years the firm has emerged as a highly regarded and celebrated land based consulting practice.

We believe that the most effective solutions are the ones inspired by our intimate knowledge of our clients wants, needs, and desires, where the distance from inspiration to execution is as short as possible. We respond quickly to the needs of our clients because we value accountability and we leverage our experience, professional expertise, and talent pool, as well as the capabilities of computers and in-house technologies, to enhance our efficiency.

At simp.L, we value our clients and are committed to developing and nurturing healthy, accountable, long term relationships.
